Finestrat: a surprisingly nice village!

Sunday, November 4, blue sky, plenty of sunshine and around 20 degrees. How fortunate that we can live in beautiful Spain. We fully enjoy!

And how nice it is to discover the area around Can Elisa on such a beautiful day as today. We have visited the nice mountain village of Finestrat.

Finestrat is best known as the starting point of the mountain hike to the top of the Puig Campana, the beach ‘La Cala Finestrat’ and the shopping center ‘La Marina’. Less known but surprisingly fun is the old village of Finestrat, at the top of the mountain. Also called ‘Balcón de Finestrat’. There is a very nice cultural walk in the village.

As soon as you enter the village you follow the ‘P’ signs. At the Casa de Cultura is a very large (free) parking garage. This is near the starting point of the walk. The route is well signed and all cultural highlights are described on signs. Both in Spanish and English. At the Tourist Info in the village you can also get a map of the walk with extra fun facts and facts.

Stroll through the narrow streets with beautiful colored houses, spectacular panoramic viewpoints and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and a fresh croissant at the bakery. In short, a wonderful day!

Saludos!
